What driving licences do we accept?

What we require depends on where you pick up your car

  • Domestic customers just need a valid driving licence from their country. That means if you are British and picking up a car in Britain, you just need a British driving licence.
  • If you are from the EU and picking up in the EU, you only need your country’s driving licence, except if your driving licence is not in latin script. If it is not in latin script then you need an International Driver’s Licence as well as your country’s driving licence.
  • For customers of the following countries, the country's driving licence is also accepted if it is written in the Roman alphabet: International Convention of Vienna 1968 and Geneva 1949
