Congratulations! Your booking is now confirmed and your vehicle will be provided by Goldcar Rental.

Please read the following information carefully before collecting your vehicle:

DOCUMENTATION

At any Goldcar office you must provide:

  • ID card or passport.
  • Valid driver's license (if issued outside the EU, you will also require an international driver's license).
  • Credit card in the lead driver’s name.

COVER

  1. When collecting your vehicle you will have the option to purchase an additional damage cover offered by Goldcar staff. Otherwise, you will be requested to pay a deposit which can vary depending on the collection office and the category of vehicle hired (please check the corresponding amount at Terms & Conditions).
  1. Should you have an additional cover/insurance provided by any third party not related to Goldcar, you do not need to buy a new cover from us. However, if you don’t, you will still need to leave a guarantee deposit. For that purpose, the corresponding amount mentioned above will be blocked on your credit card to cover possible damages to the vehicle. Any amount held against your Credit Card does not waive your liability in regards to any damages produced when breaching the terms of the agreement (please go to Terms & Conditions). All damages caused shall be payable to Goldcar and can be later claimed back from the third party insurance provider.

VEHICLE RETURN SYSTEM (CONCERNING FUEL)

  1. If the selected rate includes our Fast Return System -FRS- Goldcar will deliver the vehicle with a full tank of fuel which includes a logistical charge. The full tank of fuel must be paid upon collection. However, for your convenience, you do not need to refill the tank before returning the vehicle. Goldcar will refund any amount of fuel remaining in the tank less the logistical charge, (please check the corresponding amount at www.goldcarhelp.com/sdr. Please note a service charge will be applied if you return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel.
  2. If the selected rate includes our Classic Return System -CRS- Goldcar will deliver the vehicle with a full tank of fuel which must be paid upon collection. Goldcar will refund this amount when returning the vehicle with a full tank. Should you fail to return your vehicle with a full tank, you will incur a penalty of €40for the refueling service in addition to any missing fuel.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Please be aware that, where applicable, the following additional services shall be payable when collecting the vehicle:

  • Returning the vehicle to another office (‘One-Way rental’)
  • Additional /Young driver (
  • ‘Express Service’ (priority collection). Please check for prices at the office
  • Additional covers may be required to travel between islands or going abroad (please check for prices and/or restrictions when collecting your vehicle).
  • Booster seats and other safety devices for children travelling in the vehicle.
  • GPS / MI-FI (3G internet mobile router)
  • Vehicles returned outside office opening times.
