What do I do if I want to extend the duration of my hire?
If you have already picked up the car and need to extend the duration of the hire, you must take the hired vehicle to the nearest Goldcar office, as we need to make a new contract to be able to proceed with the extension. You cannot extend the rental by telephone or any other electronic means of communication. Any unilateral extension without Goldcar's agreement is considered as a failure to return the vehicle.
Goldcar reserves the right to refuse to extend the Contract, which is also subject to the availability of the vehicle. If the extension is impossible or refused by Goldcar, you must return the vehicle on the date and at the location specified in the Contract. If the vehicle unavailable, Goldcar may offer you a vehicle of another category. A difference in price may apply.
If your extension request is accepted, you must pay the rental price for each additional day at the rate in force on the day of the extension. The security deposit cannot be used as payment for the extension.
NOTE: Remember that the maximum period of a hire is 28 days (except for Smart+15 rentals). After this period it is necessary to make a new booking.
