What is environmental contribution?

As one of the leading holiday car rental companies on the market, with a range of more than 60,000 vehicles, we believe that reducing our environmental impact is a joint responsibility.For this reason we have created an environmental contribution to be applied to the price at the time of booking, and which will be detailed in the final invoice.

Given the importance of tackling climate change, we want to be the first to promote such contributions.

How do we calculate this contribution?

This new fee will be based on the taxes on the level of CO2 emissions, therefore it will depend on the category of the vehicle and the legislation in each country.

When does Goldcar plan to charge this new fee?

The environmental contribution will be applied to all of our prices from 14th January, for all drivers, progressively rolling out into each country: initially France (1st April 2019) and the United Kingdom (1st April 2019).
